Carving Knife and Fork Set with Matthew Parkinson

The carving knife is a tool that reminds most people of family dinners and of the generations sitting down to break bread. These iconic knives help to create meals for family and loved ones. Well-made carving sets can last lifetimes and this class will give students the opportunity to create one of their very own. In this three day class students will make their own carving set including a knife from high carbon steel with a hidden tang wooden handle and a matching stainless steel fork.

You must be 18 years or older to attend this class.

Additional Information:

• The class breaks for an hour lunch. You are welcome to bring your lunch or plan to grab something at one of the many local lunch spots. The instructor will be able to assist. Also, plan to bring a water bottle - classes are physically demanding.
• Wear appropriate clothing, preferably cotton, and close toed leather shoes or boots.
• Safety glasses will be provided. Gloves are available but not recommended.
