Carve Forever - 3 Day Woodcut Class with Sean Starwars (US)

Join us for an fun and intensive woodcut workshop with Outlaw Printmaker, rock star artist, and professional mountain dew drinker, Sean Starwars!

Be amazed as you learn everything you need to know to carve and print a 4-color image from multiple wood blocks, including tips and tricks for image preparation, tool selection and maintenance, ink mixing, as well as various carving and printing techniques. You’ll marvel at how quickly we go from a block of wood to colorful print. Whatever you do, don’t miss out on this opportunity. Come for an exciting, fast-paced weekend to hammer out some carvings and blast out some prints—Starwars style!

All levels welcome—Some experience with relief printmaking/carving is helpful, but not necessary.

All materials and tools will be provided for this class. Please bring along drawings or images to use as the basis for your woodcut design.

This class will run from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th October, 10am - 5pm each day.

About Sean Starwars:

Sean Starwars is proud to be an original member of the Outlaw Printmakers. His distinctive style and prolific work have rendered him one of the top contemporary printmakers in the U.S. Sean has an MFA in printmaking from LSU and a Graphic Design certificate from SCAD. We are passionate about making printmaking as accessible as possible and reducing barriers to participation as far as we can, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to develop their creativity.

Concession rates are available for Students, OAPs, Unemployed. Proof of eligibility for concession will be required at start of course.

Please note refunds will only be issued up to 7 days before the event is due to start. Any request for a refund after the stated cut off point will be at the discretion of Peacock.
