Carve for a Cause 2022

Get your pumpkin carving skills ready! Architects Without Borders Seattle is excited to announce our annual pumpkin carving contest: Carve for A Cause. This year's theme is Story Time - Tell an old tale, or share a new one for the future.

There are three ways to participate in Carve for A Cause


1) Join us at Ladd and Lass on October 25th as a spectator


2) Join us at Ladd and Lass on October 25th as a carver/participant


3) Enter the online People's Choice award competition

In-Person Contest

The in-person competition will be hosted by our sponsor Ladd & Lass Brewing, and will be judged by a panel of judges at the event on October 25th.

1) $25 gets you in the door for the event as a spectator.

2) An additional $25 enters you as a carver for the event and registers your pumpkin in the competition. Bring your already carved pumpkin and any display items you might have to the event.

Online “People’s Choice” Award

Anyone who registers their pumpkin for the in-person Carve for A Cause event may also enter the online People’s Choice contest for free. If you cannot attend the event at Ladd & Lass in person, you can enter the online People’s Choice contest for $15. For kids and young people under 21, this is the pumpkin contest for you.

The People's Choice Award will be determined by how many votes a pumpkin submission receives. People can vote online for their favorite pumpkin by donating whatever amount they choose. $1 = 1 Vote

The pumpkin that has the most votes by 8:00 pm on October 25, 2022, will be declared the People’s Choice winner!
