Carrie Newcomer Concert Fundraiser for Katie's Cup

We're honored to welcome Carrie Newcomer and Gary Walters as featured artists at our upcoming fundraiser. Carrie is an international touring artists, poet, activist, retreat facilitator and Emmy Award winner. She has released 20 nationally distributed albums and authored 3 books of poetry and essays. As Barbara Kingsolver beautifully said, "She is more than a singer-songwriter. She's a poet, storyteller, snake charmer, good neighbor, friend, minister of the wide-eyed gospel of hope and grace." Named by Spirituality & Health Magazine as 1 of the 20 spiritual leaders for the next 20 years, Carrie brings music, wisdom, and hope wherever she goes. Ministry in the city takes place at and through the presence of our faith based coffee bar location on Seventh Street, serving the neighborhoods of Midtown and beyond. Katie's Cup is Rockford and Midtown's not-for-profit coffee shop that offers more than just great food and coffee. Katie's Cup creates a welcoming space for community, connection, and care.
