Carolyn Striho is a highly regarded Detroit songwriter, singer, performer, musician and poet whose songs are “from the silver edge of midnight” All Music Guide.
From her early days in Detroit art rock/punk rock to Detroit Energy Asylum and to her current soulful music, Carolyn’s alluring vocal delivery with a rock and roll folk and gypsy baroque is hypnotizing.
She also has won eleven Detroit Music Awards. She was on The Grammy Awards First Ballot again in 2025. Carolyn’s performed in the U.S., Canada, Italy, England and Japan, and with Patti Smith, Don Was, Iggy Pop, Joan Jett, Steve Earle, Sinead O’Connor, Tori Amos, Yoko Ono, also at London Meltdown U.K., Donne in Musica Rome Italy, Lollapalooza and more.
Carolyn’s book “Detroit (Maiden Energy)” received critical acclaim, and she and her guitarist/husband Scott Dailey and band recently released new music which received good airplay regionally and in the U.K.
