Join us for Carolina Shag Workshop taught by Ashley Cohen Conner in patnership with Flagstaff Rythm and Roots Dance Company at the Joe C. Montoya Community and Senior Center!
In this 2-hour workshop we will first showcase Carolina Shag basics, then teach you moves to pull out on the dance floor and incorporate in other styles! Main moves will include boogie walks, breakaways, and more.
The lesson will be broken up in two parts with a 15 minute break in between.
𝐍𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝. All welcome!
We recommend you bring a water bottle, and comfortable clothes and shoes you can dance in.
Then join us at 7:00 pm for social dancing!
Come practice all your have learn in the dance floor to swing and jazz music!
Registration is 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒅, but appreciated to gauge participation and attendance. If you register you will received a reminder email of the event the day before.
