About this Event
The Volusia County Explore Volusia program invites you to join Education Specialist Tommy Nordmann on a 2.5-mile hike through the pine flatwoods of Longleaf Pine Preserve. Florida is home to more carnivorous plants (31) than any other state. Discover some of the species that are native to Volusia County.
** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program.
ACTIVITY: This will be a moderate 2.5-mile hike.
RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.
TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.
AGES: Ages ten and up are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes that can get muddy and/or wet, comfortable clothing for the outdoors
WHAT TO BRING: water, bug spray, sunscreen
FACILITIES: There will be no bathroom facilities on site.
