PRESENTATION FOR 2024 – SMALL ISLANDS
This year we want to focus on the smaller, lesser-known islands of the Antilles, e.g. Grenada, Dominica, Martinique. On this islands influences from different cultures can be found in a rich cultural and musical heritage, too. This also includes Madras, a fabric originally from India, which is reflected in the design theme this year. For more info about Madris: Madras History
No worries, as usual we will play Soca from all islands including Trinidad and Barbados.
Each Masquerader will present himself in a professional costume from the past years. Thereby we show the variety and beauty of different costumes and contribute to sustainability.
