The L.A. institution of true Latin party spirit, sensuality and rhythms returns to seduce Angelenos with the 24th Annual Brazilian Carnaval of beckons revelers. A faithful replica of the real Carnavals in Rio and Bahia, Carnaval is the most authentic and extravagant party on the West Coast and has consistently sold out for the past 23 years. It will take place in the spirit of Carnaval. Featuring the top Brazilian artists Grupo Fundo de Quintal directly from Brazil in their U.S. Tour, plus Brazilian Nites once again brings the true party spirit of Brazil to California with the top Brazilian musicians, the best local DJs spinning Brazilian dance hits, the energy of elite samba drummers, authentic Brazilian food and drinks, and of course, the titillating and elaborately costumed, world-class Samba Dancers. Samba Dancers, DJs and the Brazilian National Dish, "Feijoada".

Carnaval, the worldwide annual celebration, is the most famous and anticipated holiday in Brazil to let loose and dance the night away. The country stops completely for nearly a week and festivities are held day and night, mainly in coastal cities like Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, Bahia. Brazilian Nites’ annual party – Brazilian Carnaval – is the closest you can get to the excitement and rhythms of Brazil in Los Angeles!

Fundo de Quintal (backyard samba) is one of the most important bands of Samba. Cacique de Ramos (Indian Chiefs of Ramos), a suburb of Rio where they started meeting to sing, play drink, and dance in samba jam sessions in the 1970s. Fundo de Quintal has earned numerous gold and platinum records along with ten Sharp awards (Brazil’s former equivalent of the Grammy), seven of them received consecutively as – and it’s not difficult to understand why – the best samba band in Brazil.

Brazilian Carnaval will be selling Feijoada (the traditional dish of stewed beans with beef and pork) served with Rice, Yucca Flower, Collard Greens and orange slices . The national cocktail of Brazil – the Caipirinha – will also be available for purchase. Caipirinhas are made with Brazil’s most common distilled alcoholic beverage Cachaça, mixed with sugar and lime and poured over ice. This light and refreshing cocktail blends perfectly with the heat and non-stop energy of Carnaval.
