A Chorale Voyage from England to America. Dr. Richard Robbins, Artistic Director.
About this Event

Celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary as we travel across centuries and continents in an evening of choral music that moves from English Renaissance madrigals and sacred music to the bold, expressive sound of early America. Featuring works by Thomas Morley, Lord Mornington, Hester Maria Park, Justin Morgan, Daniel Read, William Billings, and many more—including various “fuging tunes” from the Colonial period—this program celebrates love, devotion, wit, and spiritual joy in music both refined and exuberant.

ABOUT CARMINA
For over 25 years, CARMINA has captivated audiences with performances of music from the Middle Ages to the Baroque. Hailed by The Baltimore Sun for their “gorgeous tonal balance”, this award-winning ensemble has been honored with multiple awards, including the Choralis Foundation's Ovation Award for Best Chamber Choir.

Entrance is free. A Free-Will offering to support the Church of the Redeemer's Concert Series and Friends of Music at Redeemer will be collected at the event.

A wine and cheese reception follows the concert.
