Come for the Vancouver Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra’s season finale concert, featuring principal conductor and celebrated pianist Ian Parker as the soloist for Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1. The program opens with Dvorak’s Carnival Overture, intended to depict the rollercoaster experiences of human life. Rounding out the program are two well-loved works: Bizet’s Carmen Suite and Ravel’s Bolero, heralding the summer season to come with fiery passion and building excitement.
