Na de uitverkochte, bejubelde internationale toernee in 2025, kondigen Stage Magic en City Lights Entertainment de terugkeer van de Compañía Antonio Gades naar België aan. In december 2026 zal het mythische spektakel CARMEN te zien zijn tijdens een internationale tournee door Frankrijk, België en Nederland.
Voor CARMEN lieten Antonio Gades en cineast Carlos Saura zich inspireren door het werk van Frans auteur Prosper Mérimée en de opera van Georges Bizet. Het was hun allereerste samenwerking.
Om de ware essentie van de Andalousische cultuur te vatten, koos de Spaanse choreograaf voor een aangrijpend contrast tussen de muziek van Bizet en die van een live flamenco orkest.

In December 2026, the mythical spectacle CARMEN will be presented during an international tour through France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Inspired by Mérimée's book and Bizet's opera, Carmen marks the first collaboration between Antonio Gades and filmmaker Carlos Saura. To capture the essence of Andalusian culture, the Spanish choreographer has chosen a striking contrast between Bizet's extraordinary music and that of a live flamenco orchestra.
