Guitar League Saint Petersburg will meet on March 12, 2025 at the Gulfport American Legion 125 – sign in at 6:30pm. We are excited to have Carmelo Nicosia for the second time as the Main Presenter!

About our presenter:

Carmelo Nicosia, a seasoned professional guitarist with over 40 years in the music industry, boasts a diverse portfolio of accomplishments. Alongside his wife Teri, he founded Harmony Entertainment Inc. in 1990, specializing in creating unforgettable musical experiences for weddings, corporate events, and private parties. As Program Director of JazzGuitarMasters.com, Carmelo also nurtures an online community for guitar enthusiasts.

In healthcare entertainment, Carmelo's solo act blossomed into a thriving enterprise, managing over 200 accounts and 250 monthly shows. As Owner/President of Harmony Entertainment, he oversaw all aspects of the business, orchestrating prestigious events like the annual Harmony Jazz Cruises. Carmelo's client roster includes Private and Corporate, event planners, and marketing directors. Beyond business, he's a devoted family man and active member of the church community, now bringing his musical talents to the Church Experience in West Chase, Clearwater."

2nd Half guitar playing:

The first half of the meeting will be Carmelo performing for your entertainment. In the second half of the meeting, we will all play our guitars - so be sure to bring your guitar and a capo! Carmelo will lead us in 3 to 6 songs and sing them for us while we all play along! Of course, we would all love it if you sing too! The presenter will most likely use the chords shown in the Asheville songbook (attached). These are in the lineup so far:

Club details:

The Guitar League generally meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 6:30 PM to 9 PM (sign in & registration at 6:30) at the American Legion Post 125 on 5th Avenue South.

At each meeting, the main presenter spends the first 50 minutes sharing a mixture of performing and discussing their craft, something truly unique in the entertainment industry. Next, we take a 20-minute break and the 2nd half is your chance to play your guitar along with the presenter and the rest of the club. Attendees are encouraged to bring their acoustic guitar, capo and tuner if they have one.

A prospective member’s first meeting is always free to test-drive the organization. Membership is $120/year for 12 monthly meetings ($10/meeting) or $15 per month. Membership includes access to a huge curated library of free online lessons from guitar instruction industry leader Truefire and deep discounts on their All-Access plan. The Saint Petersburg chapter of Guitar League is the ninth chapter of the Syracuse, NY based organization.
