Carlton Jazz Club: Steve Chadwick jazz Project

Ex-Manchester resident, Steve studied jazz at Salford University and lived and gigged in the northwest for many years before heading to London and then Sweden where he has been living since 2015. He has worked in theatre, recorded for film and tv, gigged on every continent (except Antarctica!) and continues to tour, record and collaborate with a wide variety of artists.
“The Steve Chadwick Jazz project is a chance to play with two musicians Richard and Eryl who were my hero’s when I first entered the NW jazz scene back in the mid 1990’s, it was always and still is a real treat to hear them play and to get the chance to gig with them. I became aware of Pete a little later and he scared the pants off me, how could one be so young and so good?! He made me want to practice. I feel honoured to have them as part of the project.
The project is a chance for me to reflect on the past 30 or so years as a gigging musician, re-visiting some old classics as well as some of my recent compositions and arrangements folk melodies.“
The Carlton Club Jazz Club has quickly become a staple, among others, in the Manchester Jazz scene, offering a lovely Sunday evening showcasing some of the best Jazz artists from the city and sometimes further afield.
