This coming Monday Carlo has another stellar show planned - with two solo acts and ending off the evening with a three piece band. Come and chase the Winter Blues away with some real, live music.PLEASE NOTE: COVID protocols will be in place. Seating is limited and will be on a first come, first seated basis. Unfortunately, no standing at the bar is allowed - all guests will need to be seated. You will be able to order your meals & drinks from the waitrons. We would like to encourage payment via Credit Card, Snapscan or Zapper. If paying cash, please ensure that you have the correct amount so as to minimize the handling of cash.

Carlo is a longstanding Barleycorn supporter, performer and committee member.
A guitarist, vocalist and bassist from a young age, former musical projects include:
• Electric Bass for the Flaming Firestones (mid-‘80’s forerunner to the Blues Broers which preceded the Boulevard Blues Band), The Paul Jacobs Trio and The Deep South Band,
• Solo Fingerstyle Acoustic Guitar Projects,
• Member of A’ Cappella Quintet “The Offbeats”,
• Upright Bass and Vocal Harmonies for Bluegrass Band Blacksmith, Thr3 Point Landing and Lonesome Dove,
• Guitar and Backing Vocals for Terry Lloyd Roberts, and
• Guitar and Vocals in as yet un-named acoustic duo with Madeleine Ginn.
Carlo enjoys a wide taste of musical genres which he explores and applies to create a fresh and interesting musical expression and will perform a selection of currently meaningful heartfelt solo acoustic guitar originals and covers.

DANIELLE J APPOLIS

Danielle Johan Apollis is a South African singer, songwriter and guitarist who was born and raised in Worcester, Western Cape, South Africa. Danielle attended the Sohnge Teachers’ Training College after school before relocating to Cape Town. While in high school, Danielle played with his father, Johnny Apollis, in his band called Nerina Brass and also performed alongside his siblings in Church.
After his move to Cape Town, he joined a blues band and later an Indie-folk band Nuka and The Fire. In 2015, Danielle decided to pursue a solo acoustic path; playing in local pubs, bars, restaurants and private events and weddings thereby refining his skills and gaining a following. Danielle recorded his first original track, Lazy Sunday Morning at WARD-WIDE-MUSIC.com with Graham Ward, a former drummer of the great Tom Jones. Danielle continues to perform at venues in and around Cape Town and will be releasing his new EP by Mid 2022.

EARTH BLUES

Earth Blues is an experimental, blues-rock trio with Alec Griffiths on vocals and guitar, Mathew Heitor on bass and Gabriel Heitor on drums. The band plays heavily improvised renditions of RnB and rock classics, as well as a collection of original songs that fall under a more experimental category.
