𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐋 𝐎𝐑𝐑’𝐒 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐍 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃. After 28 eventful years in London, guitarist/ composer, 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐎𝐫𝐫 is now residing back in Australia in the idyllic foothills of his hometown of Adelaide. Carl has performed and recorded with some of the finest musicians in the world including Billy Cobham, George Duke, Ernie Watts, Randy Brecker, Bennie Maupin, Gary Husband, Don Grusin, the Grigoryan Brothers and pop stars Roisin Murphy and Anastacia. Additionally, Carl held the guitar chair on the 2018 UK tour of Sting’s musical show “The Last Ship” .
A prolific composer, Berklee-educated Carl has recorded eleven albums of original music and is featured on recordings by Billy Cobham, Damon Albarn and many others. His composition “Song of Adversity” was recently recorded by The Australian Guitar Quartet.
Carl has a broad range of musical interests and his compositions manifest the influence of jazz, funk, pop, classical and rock and traditional music from around the world.
Carl performed at London’s prestigious Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club over 300, times where he jammed onstage with the likes of Jacob Collier, Mike Stern, Marcus Miller and Nigel Kennedy.
He will be joined for this show by three of Sydney’s finest; virtuoso jazz pianist 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭 𝐌𝐜𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐧, bass master 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬, and everyone’s favourite drummer, 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭 for what promises to be a heartfelt, compelling performance with plenty of fireworks.
