Carl Mackey Quintet - Mackey's Back In Town

Carl Mackey returns home for a special one night only performance at The Ellington. Originally hailing from Perth, Mackey was a prominent figure in the local scene for nearly 30 years. After over a decade in Melbourne, he is widely regarded as one of the country’s finest and most versatile saxophonists. Known for his fiery and emotive playing style, Carl has called upon some of his long-time colleagues and friends to deliver a night of hard swinging tunes from the likes of Horace Silver, Wayne Shorter, and Joe Henderson among others. This will be one to catch as one of Perth’s favourite sons returns to The Ellington stage. Don’t miss it!
