I AM Caribbeing returns to Governors Island for our 3️⃣rd season & we're bringing the bold creativity, rhythms, and stories of the Caribbean back to the harbor.

This year, we’re centering art as a form of resistance, reflection, and celebration. Each weekend, immerse yourself in a vibrant mix of poetry, storytelling, and visual expression rooted in Caribbean heritage.

🇭🇹 We’re kicking off the season on May 17th in celebration of Haitian Heritage Month with a picnic-style afternoon full of community, creativity, and culture. Spread a blanket, catch live spoken word and music, and explore a vibrant marketplace and gift shop featuring handcrafted goods by Caribbean makers.

Cool down with island-inspired sips from @clementliqueur, enjoy bites + sips from Little Caribbean, and soak up the vibes as we launch a new season under the sun.
