🏝️ Spend this Valentine's day with your loved ones by learning an intimate partner dance with Franck ARNAUD-LUSBEC, a dancer and choreographer from the island of Martinique.
This series of two consecutive workshops invites you to experience Caribbean Zouk – a romantic, social partner dance rooted in the islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe – while exploring liberating Afro-Caribbean fusion movements that helps you reconnect with your own body.
✨WHAT TO EXPECT
Hour 1 – Caribbean Zouk (Partner Dance)
Learn the social language of Caribbean dance parties. You’ll be introduced to the foundations such as partner connection, rhythm, and musicality. Through clear basics and a short choreography, you’ll gain the confidence to dance to any zouk song.
Hour 2 – Karibbean Fusion (Individual Movements)
Shift inward and explore your personal expression. This session dives into Afro-Caribbean music through a guided choreography that blends contemporary dance, hip-hop, and Caribbean influences – designed to free your movement and deepen your relationship with the music.

🏝️ ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Franck Arnaud-Lusbec is a dancer and choreographer from the French Caribbean island of Martinique. Trained in Paris and New York, his versatile style is shaped by contemporary dance, hip-hop, and Afro-Caribbean culture. Introduced early to Caribbean Zouk, Franck developed a deep appreciation for partner connection, rhythm, and body awareness. His exploration of styles such as Hustle and diverse Afro-Caribbean dances has enriched both his movement and teaching approach.
Franck’s classes are known for being open, supportive, and accessible, guiding dancers step by step to build confidence, enjoy movement, and connect authentically with the music.
🏝️ABOUT CARIBBEAN ZOUK AND KARIBBEAN FUSION
Zouk was born in the French Caribbean islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe. Originally the word referred to the lively weekend parties where communities gathered to dance. In the 1970s, the legendary band Kassav’ popularized a new sound inspired by African and Caribbean music. The music, like the parties, became known as zouk.
Caribbean Zouk should not be confused with Brazilian Zouk—it has its own musical roots, cultural context, and dance language.
Over time, influenced by a wide range of styles, Franck developed his own fusion approach. One of them, Karibbean Fusion, blends hip-hop, contemporary movement, and Caribbean dance, all set to Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
