The month of June is Caribbean-American Heritage Month—a month dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the significance of Caribbean people and their descendants in the history and culture of the United States.
The White House has issued an annual proclamation recognizing June as Caribbean-American Heritage Month since the official Resolution was signed by President George Bush on June 5, 2006. This year marks the seventeenth celebration of June as National Caribbean American Heritage Month.
South Shore Caribbean Connection celebrates and honors Caribbean-American Heritage Month with a FLAG RAISING, CULTURAL DAY, PRAISE IN THE PARK & A SCHOLARSHIP DINNER honoring the late Town Councilor KENRICK CLIFTON who was born on the beautiful Island of St. Kitts. These events and performances highlight our culture, heritage & invites everyone to enjoy the Caribbean culture with us!!
