About this Event
“Inspired by my visit to a women’s collective in South Africa where the women made crude fabric landscapes with stunning textures which I found moving. I will be taking you through their process to create your own fabric landscapes representing your favourite places. No sewing experience needed.”
Penny's Carefree Collage workshops are friendly learning places suitable for all skill levels. You will make personal artworks to decorate your home and give away. We are always working to develop our sensory expresssion and connection with the material.
Photographer and artist, Penny Lutoslawska, trained at Goldsmith's College of Art. She is a creative and practical tutor with long experience in community and educational settings. She is gifted at encouraging others to be creative and reach their artistic potential.
Class structure: Penny will demonstrate the techniques and materials, followed by hands-on making time with individual guidance. There will also be group sharing and reflection time because we learn so much from looking at and talking about our work. There are no strangers here, only friends you’ve yet to meet!
All art materials are provided.
Access and facilities: Bicycle parking in the church car park. Disabled access and toilets at The Old School and car parking adjacent. Car parking also available on Stretten Avenue. You may like to bring an apron and a bag.
