About this Event

Are you exploring career options, considering a career pivot or looking for an exciting career in a dynamic industry? Humber Polytechnic invites students, alumni and job seekers to participate:
Insurance & Risk Management Career Fair
Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Humber Downtown- 59 Hayden Street (Bloor & Yonge)

This annual career fair — delivered in partnership with the Insurance Institute of Canada (IIC), Career Connections, Canadian Underwriter and the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) — brings together 35+ leading organizations actively recruiting talent. Whether you studied business, IT, communications, analytics, liberal arts, or anyother discipline, your transferable skills are valued in the insurance and risk management industry.

Why attend?

  • Direct employer engagement: Speak one-on-one with recruiters and hiring managers from insurers, brokerages, risk consultancies, and related organizations.
  • Recession Proof. The insurance industry is often referred to as recession proof industry.
  • All skill sets welcome: Employers are looking for talent with strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, digital, and customer-focused skills — not just insurance backgrounds.
  • Explore career pathways: Discover roles in underwriting, claims, actuarial, analytics, risk management, sales, operations, customer service, property restoration, insurtech, and more.

Insurance industry growth & opportunity:

  • The Canadian property & casualty insurance sector supports nearly 300,000 jobs and contributes over $38 billion in GDP, making it a major engine of economic activity.
  • Insurance employers nationwide are actively hiring, with job postings rising significantly in recent quarters.
  • Demographic trends (such as retirements in key technical roles) and expanding risk markets (e.g., climate, cyber, data analytics) are increasing demand for fresh talent.

This inclusive event is open not only to Humber Polytechnic students and alumni, but also participants from universities, colleges, adult learning centres, and community job seekers. Come explore what the insurance and risk management profession has to offer — from entry-level roles to strategic career paths with long-term growth potential.

Bring your résumé, curiosity, and confidence — great opportunities await!
