Career Conversations Series: Animation & Media ArtsWith the rapidly changing world of work and uncertainty about what the jobs of the future will look like, youth can feel stressed about making education and career decisions. Parents may not always know how to best guide them on their path through school and first work experiences.
Looking at what jobs and education options are out there is only part of the picture. You also need to draw out and identify interests and encourage developing skills to explore their fit with the world of work. No one will have all of the answers - the goal is to make informed decisions while navigating the intersecting pathways of school and work. The most important thing to remember is to start the conversation early - create career curiosity and build career literacy skills for both yourself and the young person you are supporting.
Career Conversations: Animation & Media Arts is a networking event that will be focused on having a speaker give insight about their own journey into the field, what schooling they choose, barriers as well as other important things to consider when going into the field of animation and media arts. It is designed to help you get the conversation going and to introduce you to tools and information that can help you move forward together.
