Cardmaking Workshop (a card workshop) with Taffy Kino & Elaine Imoto
About this Event
Join instructor Mrs. Taffy Kino and assistant Elaine Imoto for a welcoming, hands-on morning of paper crafting at Waikīkī Community Center.
You’ll create three colorful art cards that can be used for a birthday, congratulations, or an expression of sympathy. The inside of each card will remain blank, giving you space to add your own personal message when you are ready to share it.
Each participant will receive a complete kit containing pre-cut decorative paper, tape, ribbon, and supplies for three individual cards. Taffy will guide you through the assembly process and show you how to transform the colorful paper patterns into meaningful, handmade creations.
This project involves detailed handwork. Participants should have good vision—with glasses, if needed—and sufficient manual dexterity to cut approximately 32 small pieces of tape and carefully position them onto 24 pre-cut paper pieces.
Mrs. Taffy Kino is a retired Hawaiʻi DOE teacher and enthusiastic crafter who is generously donating her time and supplies for this workshop. Elaine Imoto will assist participants throughout the class.
