OBJECTIVES: To understand details of anatomy relevant to mapping/EP interventions for arrhythmias, e.g. SVT, AF, VT, FAT

To learn the composition of heart structures that are ablated for terminating various arrhythmias

To learn about neighbouring cardiac and non-cardiac structures that may be impacted by interventional procedures

FACULTY:

Prof Yen Ho, Consultant Cardiac Morphologist; Royal Brompton Hospital, London UK, has a special interest in cardiac anatomy relevant to electrophysiology. Apart from her many publications on this subject, she has co-written a book on this with Prof Sabine Ernst that is well regarded among trainee as well as experienced electrophysiologists. Annually she also runs several courses on morphology of congenital heart defects for imaging specialists, interventionists, and surgeons.

Prof Sabine Ernst, Cardiac Electrophysiologist, Royal Brompton Hospital, is very well known in her field as an experienced practitioner, researcher, as well as an educator. She is on several international teaching committees for educational programmes and is often invited to speak at courses and conferences all over the world.

Dr Karen McCarthy, Cardiac Morphology co-lead, Royal Brompton Hospital has over two decades of teaching experience. She teaches on courses to undergraduates as well as postgraduates and cardiology trainees. She is an effective teacher and rated highly on evaluations
