About this Event
Thedelivers impactful training designed to enhance learners understanding of the causes and consequences of climate change.
Our course has been designed and accredited for students at the University of Arts London. It builds an understanding of emissions data, reporting, storytelling and accountability in the context of art and design. After a day's worth of comprehensive learning, participants are invited to submit pledges for environmental action. By doing this, you can gain certification from this United Nations recognised training programme.
Our course is offered exclusively to and free of charge for UAL students.
On November 14th 2024, we are excited to celebrate an international by opening our course up to all UAL students for the first time.
Our Action Day course will take place in person, in the Platform Bar at Central Saint Martins. The course will start at 09:30am and finish at 4pm. Students from disciplines across UAL are invited to join us on the day. Our day's structure is as follows:
- 09:30 - 10:00: Becoming Carbon Literate
- 10:00 - 11:30: Foundational Environmental Literacy
- 11:45 - 13:00: Carbon Calculation
- 14:00 - 15:10: Misinformation and Disinformation in Climate Reporting
- 15:20 - 16:00: Pledging Action
