CaRaVaN Open Mic + Open Stage returns to our summer home in the Exchange District under the sun and stars. CaRaVaN at the Cube will run twice per month (plus a special Fringe Edition in July) from May through September:May 13

CaRaVaN at the Cube is presented by The Purple Room and sponsored by The Exchange District BIZ, Long & McQuade Musical Instruments, the Manitoba Night Market & Festival (taking place June 9, July 21, & August 25), and Smoke’s Poutinerie Albert.
Sign up begins at 6:30 PM, with the show running 7 to 10:00 PM. For those not there in person (or just wanting to watch later), shows are livestreamed to YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
As always, musicians performing will get 2 songs, while all others (poets, comedians, dancers, scene performers, monologists, etc.) will have approximately 5 minutes to do their thing.
Our 5 longstanding "rules" that we start off every show with have been mostly about fun and just giving anything a try! But we do need to make it clear that hateful rhetoric from the stage, or harmful/hurtful behaviour to the audience, other performers, or the event's organizers will not be tolerated.
On the Mondays this summer we're not at the Cube, you can find us joining in with the open mic at the Toad in the Hole, which runs Mondays from 9:00 PM to midnight and is hosted by James Buckboro.
CaRaVaN at the Cube is generally a rain or shine event (making use of the cover of the stage during rain), but if there is lightning, torrential rain, or bitter cold, we will instead head to the Toad, with us much advance notice as possible.
