The 2026 Carabao Cup Final comes to Joshua Brooks. Arsenal take on Manchester City live from Wembley, screened in the basement on Princess Street. Kick-off is 4:30pm. Free entry all afternoon.
Arsenal arrive at Wembley for the first time in eight years in this competition, having fought through a penalty shootout against Crystal Palace and a dramatic semi-final against Chelsea settled by Kai Havertz's stoppage-time winner. Mikel Arteta's side sit nine points clear at the top of the Premier League and are chasing their first League Cup in over three decades. Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Viktor Gyökeres and the rest of a squad built to win trophies finally get their shot at one.
Manchester City come in as eight-time winners of this competition, including four straight titles under Pep Guardiola between 2018 and 2021. They hammered Newcastle 5-1 on aggregate in the semi-final and have Erling Haaland, Omar Marmoush and January signing Antoine Semenyo all in prolific form. But City's season has been turbulent — a 3-0 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid five days before the final adds pressure Guardiola hasn't faced in English football before.
The last time these two met in a League Cup Final was 2018, when City won 3-0 in what became Guardiola's first trophy in England. Arteta was sat in the City dugout that afternoon as his assistant. Now the apprentice returns to Wembley on the other side, leading the best Arsenal squad in a generation.
