We all want our children to travel safely in cars. Installing a car seat can be a challenge. Research shows that 3 out of 4 car seats are not installed correctly. A Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Technician can assist you. We will be at Winston-Salem Fire Station 8When coming to the free car seat check, please bring:
• The vehicle your child will be riding in
• Your child safety seat
• Your child safety seat manual
• Your car owner’s manual
• Your child (if possible)
• Your child’s current height and weight (if possible)
• It takes approximately 30 minutes to get a car seat checked.

Our car seat checks are hosted by Safe Kids Northwest Piedmont, a program of Brenner Children’s Hospital Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and possible, thanks to the partnership of Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians and community organizations focused on the well-being of children.
