Car Seat and Injury Prevention Event

Safe Kids Douglas County, in partnership with Nebraska Medicine, Children's Nebraska and Creighton Child Safety Center, invites you to a car seat safety event. Certified child passenger safety technicians will provide car seat checks, education and guidance to help keep children safe on every ride.
Who: Expectant parents, grandparents, and all types of caregivers are welcome.
When: Thursday, Sept. 24, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. with injury prevention activities from 4 to 7 p.m.
Where: Salem Baptist Church, 3131 Lake St.
Cost: Free. Donations are accepted and appreciated. All donations support injury prevention efforts in the community.
Appointments are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please plan to spend about 20 minutes per car seat. Bring the vehicle's owner's manual, car seat manual, your child, and your current car seat.
Kona Ice will be on-site serving FREE refreshing shaved ice during the event.
