A Live Model Sketching & Sculpting Master ClassFor the first time ever at SHO Art, Spirit & Performance, Sculptors, Life Drawing enthusiasts, & Long-pose Artists can experience a new and exciting session where creatives from each art form can meet, share their skills, and discuss their processes and final pieces.
This monthly 3-hour session offers artists the opportunity to depict a classically nude model in a professionally lit setting. The first two hours will cover short and medium length dynamic poses, during which time sculptors will be working on building the base and adding volume, referencing the model, while sketch artists develop their skills in quick rendering, line, proportion, negative space, perspective and shading.
In the third hour, the session will culminate in an hour-long pose, allowing all artists and sculptors to more fully develop details in their final rendering.
NOTE:
- No prior sculpting experience is required and all materials will be provided
- Tables, easels, and drawing boards will be available. Sketch artists are responsible to bring all other supplies they wish to use.
