Adjacent Space presents a Summer Drive-In Captioned Movie event Aug. 1, 2021. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. with the first movie showing at 8:15 p.m. (due to timing of sunset and the visbility of the movie). The second movie will follow directly at 10 p.m.All proceeds from parking spot reservation sales will directly benefit Adjacent Space's mission to promote visual-tactile accessible and equitable spaces. Adjacent Space will not make money from sales of food or mini golf. This event is made possible and sponsored by Regions Bank, BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama, Sorenson, and Kinetic.
The Drive-In will have open captioning for Deaf and Hard of Hearing attendees! For hearing attendees, you can listen to the movie over the radio while watching!
First come, first serve! Make sure to get there early to find the right spot! Gates will open at 5:00pm. Please arrive by 6:30pm for the group event.
Tickets to reserve your parking spot are $25 per vehicle, which includes:
Your parking spot
Two movies (double feature)
Movies:
8:15pm: "How to Train your Dragon: The Hidden World"
10:00pm: "Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse"
Discount packages:
If you'd like to save money and have more fun, we recommend checking out our discount packages, which save you $5 on the parking spot and include mini golf and food!
Discount packages are only available for purchase until July 25, 2021. If you choose not to purchase a discount package, food and concessions will be available for purchase during the event at the regular rate. Refund policy:
Tickets are refundable 30 days or more before the event.
In the case of severe weather, if Grand River Drive-In cancels the event, Adjacent Space will notify ticket holders and refund up to $21.90 (to cover Eventbrite fees) or the ticket holder will have the option to donate the ticket.
Grand River Policies:
All guests must remain within their movie screen area (Screen Four to view either the movie "How to Train your Dragon" or "Spiderman").
Grand River is not held liable for any property left on the premises after the event's conclusion.
No smoking will be permitted in The Backyard area.
No outside food or drink will be allowed on the premises. Violation of this could result in the termination of the event which may mean that the ticket holder may be asked to leave without a refund.
