Full moons happen when the Moon forms a 180-degree opposition from the Sun, reflecting the Sun's light for all to see. This opposition calls us to balance the way we assert our identities in the outer world and how we receive these experiences within —shining a spotlight of awareness on what needs to be released as we move into the waning phase.For July's full moon in Capricorn, we are called to find balance between seeking comfort vs. pursuing our goals. The Capricornian goat does not reach the top of the mountain by taking the most comfortable path. On the other hand, overly focusing on your goals can interfere with your ability to create happy memories in your current moment. This lunation is working closely with Pluto, the planet of transformation, and it’s important to remember that we are in an ever-changing world. Traditional definitions of success and security are inching toward a change, and your definition of success does not need to match everyone else’s. With the moon forming harmonious aspects to Uranus, Mars, and Neptune, we can reach our long-term goals when we synthesize our innovation, drive, and ideals.

Astrologer Misty Lane will provide an overview on the meaning of this lunation with mini astrology readings for each participant. Artist Laura Ingalsbe will then guide us through making intention candles to aid your process of release.
