Capoeira Brazilian Pelourinho's 30th Annual Batizado!
Come to join us for our 30th annual Student Capoeira Graduation (aka Batizado) and Brazilian martial arts event. This ceremony showcases our students' hard work and dedication over the past year. It showcases the Brazilian culture through, not only the captivating martial art of Capoeira, but through the traditional dance, music, stunning acrobatics, and story of this one-of-a-kind event.
🎉 Experience an authentic Brazilian cultural show featuring traditional performances like Puxada de Rede and Maculele, breathtaking Capoeira displays, and much more. Witness the dynamic fusion of dance, music, and stunning acrobatics that tell the unique story of Capoeira.

The venue requires all participants (those who will NOT be sitting in the audience) to pre-register. Pre-registration is required so the venue has your name on a guest list and you will be allowed to enter. All visiting capoeiristas (and non-audience members) must enter through the back of the Dr. Phillips Performing Art Center and not the front as that is reserved for audience members with tickets purchased through the Dr. Phillips Center.
