10:30 am - 12 pm at Lava Lands Visitor Center: Morning pre event volcano walk with our capoeirista geologist Bart at the stunning Newberry National Volcanic Monument's Trail of Molten Land just S. of Bend.
2 pm - 3 pm Roda outside on top of iconic Pilot Butte (paver surface) with sweeping views of central Oregon.
5 pm - 5:30 pm Doors and registration at High Desert Martial Arts (padded floor) 63056 Lower Meadow Dr Ste 120, Bend, OR.
6 pm - 9:30 pm Workshops and opening roda (Mestre Acordeon, Mestre Calango, Mestre Mata Mosquito). Please wear whites.
9:30 pm Food on site - cost share.
SATURDAY 4/22
9:45 am Warmups at High Desert Martial Arts (padded floor) 63056 Lower Meadow Dr Ste 120, Bend, OR.
10 am - 11:10 am Workshops and roda (Mestre Pedro Cruz, ContraMestre Vira Lata).
11:10 am - 12:20 pm Jogo-shops and roda (Mestre Beringela and Mestre Radio Velho)
12:30 pm - 1:00 pm travel 2.5 miles to Open Space Studio (polished concrete floor) 220 NE Lafayette Ave, Bend, OR, grabbing to-go food at nearby food carts/restaurants. Professore/a, C-Mestre/a, Mestre, Capoeira Bend students hosted to lunch at Open Space by Spork.
1:00 pm Doors open at Open Space Studio (polished concrete floor) 220 NE Lafayette Ave, Bend, OR.
1:30 pm Bay to Bahia presentation and Q/A with Mestre Acordeon at Open Space Studio for a Bay to Bahia/B2B presentation and Q/A with Mestre Acordeon! Suggestion: Bring your 'Capoeira: A Brazilian Art Form' Mestre Acordeon book for his autograph.
3 pm - 4:30 pm UCA Professore/a Lightning Round Music and Movement Workshops (Professores/a Forca, Carranca, Bebida, Tatu, Vagalume)
4:30 pm Dinner / Break on your own
7 pm (doors) - 11 pm BATIZADO, CAPOEIRA Dark/Water/Light Experience, and CELEBRATION at Open Space Event Studio (polished concrete floor) 220 NE Lafayette Ave, Bend, OR. Please wear whites.
7:30 pm KICKOFF - A capoeira experience around Mestre Acordeon's description of a capoeirista's stages of growth playing in the Dark (blacklight roda), Water (water world jogos) and Light (ceremony and rodas).
-Samba-Reggae jam with ContraMestre Pyata & drummers featuring Professora Forca to lead the mass dance.
-Snacks, drink (cash bar for alcohol options), music, dancing, celebration
SUNDAY 4/23
10:00 am - 1:30 pm at Smith Rock State Park amphitheater - one of Oregon's 7 Wonders. World class rock climbing and hiking options before and after. Get there and/or carpool from Bend or Terrebonne due to parking challenges at Smith Rock.
10:30 am - 11:30 am Capoeira Music Open 'Mic' - duos, solos, or small group short sets (consider primarily berimbaus, tunings, variations, songs - especially any Mestre Acordeon peices).
11:30 am - 12:30 Capoeira Outside the Roda facilitated by Professor Brucutu, Bate-papo with Mestre Acordeon, Mestre Beringela, + ya'll.
12:30 Picnic (cost share) on site. Mestre Acordeon farewell.

We are a small group having some but limited capacity to host with home stays. In addition to campsites at nearby Tumalo state park, the usual airbnb suspect, VRBO and cheap motels, here are a couple unique sites with central location to consider.

A few guests have already reserved rooms at the Campfire Hotel, which is our recommendation for a central cool place with great vibe, reasonably affordable, and set up with a 100 degree outdoor salt water swimming pool and hotter hot tub.
Weather is unpredictable in April with possible 70's and sun or 40's and rain.
