In one of the greatest musical films of all time, star-crossed lovers Tony and Maria (say it loud and there’s music playing) try to find their place in the world (somewhere…) in this retelling of Romeo and Juliet set in 1950s New York where two teenage gangs compete for control on the Upper West Side.
West Side Story won 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress (Rita Moreno), and Best Supporting Actor (George Chakiris).
West Side Story will screen with an intermission as part of our Capitol at 100 Centennial Celebration.
