Workshop 1: One Turn, Many Languages
Time: 3:00 - 4:30 PM
We’ll dive into the world of fusion partner dance by exploring a single, fundamental move that shows up in any dance forms, and learn how the turn adapts and changes as we shift into speaking different "dance languages". This is an invaluable skill to understanding the fundamental differences between forms, creating versatility in your dancing, and allowing you to easily adapt to different partnerships.
Workshop 2: Find Your Flow
Time: 4:30 - 6:00 PM
Most of our partner dances are based on walking movements, connecting with upright torsos. But what happens when we open our bodies, allowing our torsos to bend and flow, cresting and falling together like ocean waves? In this class, we’ll incorporate movements from Brazilian Zouk and Contemporary Dance into our fusion, exploring new pathways of movement and connection.
