Join CFOS in welcoming Phyllis Erikson for an informative discussion about "Growing Cattleya Orchids.” Phyllis, along with her husband Dale, are the proprietors of Ironwood Estate Orchids in nearby Hickory, NC. Her presentation will offer an overview of the Cattleya genus and its history along with cultural requirements and suggestions for the hobby grower.The Cattleya has long been referred to as the Queen of the Orchid World. The various species flower year-round and all have delightful scents to make your home smell like an evolving fragrance garden every day of the year.
