About this Event

Participants will experience the rapidly advancing technology of small Unmanned Aerial Systems. Both the novice and experienced remote pilots will review both the academic rules and regulations, but gain experience building, repairing and flying drones. Two tracks will be available: the cadet programs and aerospace education track, and the CAP mission track. To enter the mission track, you must have prior experience, completed the TRUST module and will be immersed in the intermediate track to become CAP certified. For the Mission Pilot, you must have your Part 107 FAA Remote Pilot Certificate be at least 16 years old for cadets, and have completed the ICS courses. The Mission Technician you do not neet the PART 107 but will still need to have the ICS and other pre-requisites completed. You can bring your own drones to fly (at your own risk) on the fun event activitites, and we will explain the benefits of the different types of drones for different purposes. From making video, performing surveillance, SAR, and aerospace education, everyone will come away with more experience, education, and fun! Sea Cadets and Air League of Canada are also invited to attend in 2025!
