A playwright workshop for anybody stuck in the shit. Run by Meghan Tyler in partnership with Summerhall Arts.
About this Event

Playwrighting is a puzzle.

An amazing puzzle to solve – oh, the satisfaction of finishing a draft! – the glee, the pride, the elation! …and then you realize you’ve put the pieces in all of the wrong places, and actually there’s bits left in the box that didn’t quite fit, and some pieces that might be from a different puzzle all together…

So, you start the puzzle again, and the cycle continues.

Sometimes, you’ve restarted the puzzle so many times, that even the word, “puzzle” sends you into a violent fury and you just want to throw the pieces in the bin, set the bin on fire, throw the bin out the window, cackle manically, and then retrain in cyber.

If you are at this stage with a play, then this workshop is for you.

Over the course three hours, Meghan Tyler hopes to give you a little toolbox – tips, tricks, exercises, inspiration – for cracking your puzzle, instead of pulling your eyelashes out.
