Canvas Stretching Workshop: Traditional Materials, Practices & Techniques

Explore the timeless art of canvas preparation in this hands-on workshop led by local artist Marcus Gonzalo Bañuelos. Participants will gain foundational skills in stretching and preparing canvases, exploring traditional techniques through a live demonstration. From building stretcher bars to preparing rabbit skin glue, this workshop covers each step in creating a durable, high-quality painting surface.

Each participant will have the opportunity to stretch their own 12" x 16" canvas using preprimed, acrylic gessoed material.

$35 per person

Includes all necessary supplies to make one 12" x 16" canvas.
