Canton Comedy Boom's Out of Bounds: A Comedy Showcase

Join Canton Comedy Boom on Saturday August 3 during Canton’s Pro-Football Hall of Fame Week for a night of stand-up comedy with some of Ohio’s MVP comedians!

We’ve drafted the funniest football fans we could find, including John Armstrong, who won Comedian of the Year at the 2024 Cleveland Comedy Awards, and Akron comedian, John Brown, a Best of Fest winner at the Cleveland Comedy Festival.

John Armstrong is one of the fastest rising comedians in Ohio. His style of comedy can be described like his personality: quick-witted and over-the-top. Flowing with charm and charisma, John covers topics like family, politics, healthcare, and navigating relationships. John has opened for such legendary acts as John Witherspoon, Dave Attell, Ari Shaffir, Ms. Pat, JB Smoove, and many others. He recently won the Performer’s Award and Comedian of the Year at the 2024 Cleveland Comedy Awards.

John Brown is a regular at The Funny Stop and Hilarities, the winner of Best of Fest at the Cleveland Comedy Festival, a finalist in Loons on the Lake Comedy Festival, and has opened for the legendary George Wallace. From hosting to performing and producing, John is a fixture of the Akron comedy scene and a good friend of Canton Comedy Boom.

The line-up will also feature Canton comics, Eric M Simons and Eric Talbert, and Akron comics Blake Townsend and Chevy Terrill. These four homegrown comics have killed on our stage more times than we can count.

Whether you're a local or you’re here for the Hall of Fame festivities, this comedy showcase is the perfect way to cap off your visit to downtown Canton. Enjoy a fun-filled atmosphere and share in the joy of live comedy with fellow fans.
