You are cordially invited to enjoy Cantina on Connally Plaza honoring the generous Donors who made the mural Mexican-American History & Culture in 20th Century Houston possible. Mural artists Laura López Cano and Jesse Sifuentes, along with Donors and government officials, celebrated the unveiling to Houstonians three years ago. Since then, our wonderful Donors' names have been added to the mural, and we want to thank them.
We will spotlight the Zenteno and Laurenzo generations who shaped Houston’s lifestyle pastimes and whose family members are in the center of the mural. El Tiempo Cantina, the Zenteno Spirit band, and Reina Desserts are generous sponsors of this festive social.
Enjoy music, appetizers, drinks, and a film! The Tearoom will be transformed into a Teatro for a showing of the documentary film of the Zenteno Family. Barrio Dogs will also have an information and a donation table if you would like to support their noble cause.
This complimentary event is open to Donors and Members, from 4 PM to 6 PM and is located at 1100 Bagby Street. Free parking is available, please see map. Please R.S.V.P. to [email protected] by Thursday, September 30.

After the event, at 7 PM, board member Mister McKinney of Mister McKinney's of Historic Houston has Houston History Bus Tours to East Downtown (EaDo) for those who want to continue the fiesta. This event is open to the public, and tickets and information are available here.
