Welcome to Canterbury's 73rd Season! Join us for a spectacular performance of Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem at the beautiful Church of the Heavenly Rest. Giuseppe Verdi’s Messa da Requiem bears the name of a sacred form, but its sweep and power proclaim “Theater”! From the terrifying fury of the Dies Irae to the tremulous submission of the Libera Me, this Requiem is a heightened contemplation of life’s end as only Verdi could evoke it.
