Join Brown Faces Green Spaces as we set sail for our annual Canoemobile Voyage on the Lagoon -- changing our local waterway into a place of recreation, learning, community-building, and fun as paddlers sail the Marquette Lagoon in a 24-foot floating classroom to learn about the science, history, geography, and culture of the Calumet River in Gary Indiana..
This waterway experience will take place from 4p to 5:30p on Thursday, September 18th. We will meet behind the Marquette Park Pavilion promptly at 4p. Please arrive on time for this amazing paddle experience in Gary that is sponsored by Wilderness Inquiry and the Dunes Learning Center -- and is FREE and open to ALL! ♻️🌳💚🌍
