About this Event
Paddle Beyond Limits – An Inclusive 10-Mile Canoe Challenge in the Lake District

Challenge yourself. Connect with others. Discover what's possible.

Join us for an unforgettable weekend in the heart of the Lake District, created exclusively for amputees and people living with limb difference. Whether you're an experienced paddler or have never stepped into a canoe before, this is your opportunity to experience adventure in a welcoming, supportive and fully inclusive environment.

Over two incredible days, you'll take on a 10-mile canoe journey along Windermere, England's largest natural lake. Paddling through breathtaking mountain scenery, secluded bays and peaceful woodland, you'll experience one of the UK's most iconic waterways while challenging yourself in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

Working with the specialist team at Anyone Can, you'll have access to adaptive equipment, experienced instructors and personalised support, ensuring everyone can enjoy the adventure regardless of mobility or experience. Their philosophy is simple: adventure should be accessible to everyone.

This isn't about racing or competition. It's about building confidence, sharing experiences with people who understand the journey of limb loss and limb difference, and proving to yourself that the outdoors is for everyone.

As you paddle your 10-mile journey across Windermere, you'll explore hidden corners of the lake that many visitors never see, stopping to enjoy delicious locally sourced lunches on the lakeshore before continuing your adventure. The weekend also includes an immersive bushcraft experience where you'll learn outdoor skills, gather around the fire and enjoy a three-course woodland feast cooked over open flames.

When the paddles are put away, the adventure continues. Relax in comfortable accommodation, enjoy hearty home-cooked meals, swap stories with new friends and become part of a community that celebrates resilience, determination and the belief that no challenge is out of reach.
