Cannonball Day is an annual event sponsored by the Mason City Noon Rotary Club, the Friends of the 457, and area businesses to highlight the Minneapolis & St. Louis steam locomotive #457 "Rotary Cannonball" in East Park, Mason City, Iowa. Cannonball Day is filled with fun activities scheduled throughout the day for families and children of all ages who love to be around trains!
All proceeds from the day's event, and donations from the Kiwanis Chicken BBQ and other sponsors, go to help support the work of restoration, preservation, and maintenance for the education and fun of the public.
