Jar up the freshness of summer with this Classic Strawberry Jam. This timeless treat is delicious as a spread on a freshly baked biscuit, paired with peanut butter, or spooned into some yogurt!Make the most of fresh, local, summer produce by preserving it for year round use! This is our first class in our series of hands-on training in: Preserving jams and jellies, water-bath canning, pressure canning and pickling. This workshop is perfect for new and experience canners.
Participants can expect a hands-on workshop preparing fresh strawberries and turning them into a delicious jam. We will be covering water bath canning basics, safety, and understanding science-based procedures and recipes for proper canning. Each participant will make their own half pint jar of strawberry jam.
