William Canfield, Sauk County's first historian, will be celebrated on Canfield Day, Tuesday, April 8 at 7 pm at the history center in Baraboo. A presentation on The Canfield Cave will be followed by an awards ceremony for the 2025 William H. Canfield Award winner for excellence in local history. Cake and refreshments will be served following to honor Canfield’s birthday. This event is free and the public is welcome to attend.
