About this Event
Famously one of Werner Herzog's favorite films, CANE TOADS (1988) gives a toad's-eye-view of one of Earth's most invasive species, Humans. Nobody does nature docs like the legendary Mark Lewis, and we're absolutely delighted to have him here from Mullumbimby Australia to screen and talk about his work. YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS THIS!

ABOUT THIS FILM SERIES: When somebody says "nature documentary," what pops into your mind? Many of us grew up drinking the Kool-Aid of a "Planet Earth" portrayed as an IMAX technicolor savannah chock full of birds in mating display and herds of slo-mo giraffes galloping to orchestral crescendos. An Earth utterly bereft of the messiness of people.
CANE TOADS is the toad-in-the-punch we've all been waiting for, and is our first in a series of screenings over the next few months wherein we explore nature cinema as a form, and we're honored to have Mark kick it off for us!
